The City Bank Limited has increased the Interest rate on savings account and other fixed deposits for facilitating country's overall savings with effect from April 1. says a press release.

The Interest rate for savings account has been Increased to .6.50 from 5.50 per cent and on short term deposits (STD) to 5.50 from 4.50 per cent. The interest rates for fixed deposits of different terms have been Increased from highest 7.50 per cent and lowest 7.00 per cent to highest 8.50 per cent and lowest 8.00 per cent.
