JAMMU (India). Mar 2: Pak Istani troops opened fire on frontier villages in the Indian state of Kashmir during a visit by the state * governor today but there were no casualties, border officials said here, reports AFP.

A spokesman for the border security force said Pakistani troops "resorted Io unprovoked and Intermittent firing', on villages in the Ranbir Singh Pura frontier area, some 35 kpis from this state winter capital.

The said Kashmir Governor KV Krishna Rao was unperturbed by the firing and "stuqk to hi* schedule, discussing the latest border situation with villager*."

India and Pakistan hold parts of the disputed State and frequently accuse each other of opening fire on each other
