At least 10 people were injured and more than 60 vehicles damaged in sporadic incidents of violence and clash in different parts of the country yesterday.
The incidents in Dhaka. Chittagong. Comilla and Narayanganj were a sequel to the police attack' on students of Dhaka University Wednesday, according to reports.
In the city, a number of stray incidents including bomb attacks at the GPO and damaging and burning of ve-
hicles took place.
At least 10 people were injured in violence at Mo-hakhall. Chankharpool. Bakshi Bazar. Shahbagh. Zero Point and Bangabandhu Avenue, according to DMCH and fire service sources.
Post Master General (PMG) SF Reza, talking to The Dally Star said that a group of unidentified people hurled a powerful bomb at the counter of the GPO at around 11:10 am yesterday.

In other incidents of erosion. Zahir and Sujan suffered bomb injuries in Mohakhali. Shahbagh and Bakshi Bazar areas in the afternoon. DMCH sources said.
Petrol bombs were thrown at a passenger bus at Banga-bandhu Avenue and consequently the bus caught fire, reports an agency quoting the fire service sources. The firemen extinguished the fire but the vehicle suffered severe damage, the report adds.
Besides, mob set fire to a Pajero jeep at Bijoynagar, a private car near Hatirpool crossing and an auto rickshaw in front of Sonargaon hotel at around noon yesterday.
The private car was set on fire when it was parked near a diagnostic centre in the area The owner of the car was inside the centre for col-lei ting some reports at the time, witnesses said.
Agitated youths burnt the motorbike of a police sergeant at Bakshi Bazar crossing.
Besides, two minibuses were partially damaged in front of the House Building Finance Corporation office at Purana Paltan at around 11:30 am The incident spread panic in the area while the police on duty chased the attackers, witnesses said.
An autorickshaw was damaged in front oi the building of Muklijoddha Sangsad in Motijheel area in the morning.
Another incident of bomb blast was also reported from a college in Tejgaon area in the afternoon yesterday. A bomb explosion created panic in Farmgate area while traffic movement was disrupted for about half an hour on the Old Airport road, witnesses said.
Tejgaon police could not give any information in this regard till late last night.
Our Staff Correspondent from Ctg reports. At least 20 vehicles were damaged as the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Jubo League went on a rampage in front of the Bipani Bitan in the city yesterday evening protesting the police action at Dhaka University, witnesses and police said.
The agitating activists pelted stones at the passing vehicles while the people ran helter-skelter for safety.
A large contingent of police rushed to the spot and dispersed the agitators.
Earlier, the supporters of Awami League and its front organisations brought out a stick wielding procession to resist election campaign this afternoon.
However, no untoward incident was reported.
In Comilla. at least three vehicles and several shops were damaged allegedly by pro-Awami League Chhatra League in the town yesterday, according to a news agency reports.
The BCL activists brought out a procession in the town protesting Wednesday's incidents on the DU campus. They damaged shops, two jeeps and auto-rickshaw at Kandirpar Crossing and RaJ-ganj, the news agency reported quoting witnesses.
