WASHINGTON, Feb 1: US black activist Louis Farrakhan will be asked to testify before Congress on his trip to Libya where he reportedly entered into an alliance with Moam-mer Gaddafi, a US representative said, reports AFP.

New York Republican representative Pete King said on Tuesday Farrakhan had "crossed the line" by aligning himself with the Libyan leader, who regards the United States as an enemy.

He said Farrakhan, who leads the controversial black Muslim movement the Nation of Islam, would face questions from members of a subcommittee on international operations and human rights.

Gaddafi announced last week that he and Farrakhan had agreed to work together to influence the elections by mobilising minorities in the United States and that he was prepared to donate one billion dollars to the Nation of Islam.

"This would be state terrorist money being spread throughout Farrakhan's empire of hatred here in America.” King said.

King added that he supported a request by the AntiDefamation League, a Jewish civil rights group, that US justice officials investigate whether Farrakhan could be considered a foreign agent.
