Sporting Club take on Bangladesh Biman in the final match of the Victory Day cricket tournament today at the Dhaka Stadium, reports UNB

Mohammedans' successful skipper Aminul Islam Bulbul, in charge for a second successive year, is optimistic of his team's chances.

Biman skipper Ziaur Rashid Rupom was banking on his speedster Manna. The potential 18-year-oid college student has no big match experience except some First Division matches for Bangladesh Railway last season.

"We depend a lot on film as he Is capable of getting an early breakthrough, and restrict Mohammedans below 300 runs." said Rupom.

Bangladesh Blman have reached a major tournament final this season after lifting the Damal Summer cricket trophy in 1979-80. Blman beat Mohammedans by 12" runs in the final to win their first Damal Summer crown.

Blman reached the Victory Day cricket final after they were declared winners against Abahani KC who refused to play midway through the Blman innings protesting umpires' decision.
