KISHOREGANJ. Nov 10 A massive scheme has been taken up to bring 2,400 hectares of land under sweetpotato cultivation in 13 thanas of the district in the current season, reports UNB.

According to Agriculture Extension Department sources, about 50 hectares of land will be cultivated each in Hossainpur and Sadar thana while 100 hectares each in Pakundla, Kuliarchar and Bhairab, 350 hectares in Ka-tiadi. 70 hectares in Karim-ganj, 25 hectares in Tarail. 285 hectares in Itna, 120 hectares in Mitamain. 450 hectares in Nikll, 400 hectares in Austagram and 300 hectares in Bajltpur thana.
