Police suspect that the gang involved in the snatching of Tk 16.2 lakh of a Beximco firm from in front of the Dhanmondi branch of 1FIC bank was hired from outside Dhaka. But none of the attackers could be traced till last night, police sources said.

Four armed men snatched the money from a microbus shortly after the vehicle had of the bank premises at about 10:30 am on October 5.

Detective police had earlier arrested two Beximco employees — driver Badal and commercial assistant Ahmed Golum Ehsan — suspecting their involvement in the snatching.
