Saint Gregorys High Schoo) will take on BAF Shaheen School in the opening match as the third National King fan metropolis basketball tournament begins this afternoon at 3 pm at the Dhanmondi wooden floor gymnasium

Ahbab Ahmed Additional Secretary in charge for Youth and Sports will inaugurate the 13 day tournament organised bv the Bangladesh Amateur Basketball Federation.

About eight teams . divided into two groups, are scheduled to play initially on league basis The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals billed for October 20 while the final will be held on October 22

There will be two matches played everyday Today in the day’s second match. Nabaku-mar Institution will meet Rifles Public School at 4:30 pm.

Last year's champions Bandura Holy Cross High School of NawabganJ in Dhaka district will not be allowed to compete this year as the tournament for the first time is restricted to the schools only in Dhaka city.

National Electrical Industries who are sponsor Ing the meet for the third successive year, will bear all expenses amounting to Taka 54,000. The following are the participants teams:

Group A: BAF Shaheen School. Saint Gregory’s High School. Bangladesh Navy School and Rifles School and College.

Group B: Nabakumar Institution, Rifles Public School, BAF Kurmitola Shaheen school and Saint
