JHENIDAH. Sept 8: The beggars of Sailkupa thana of the district formed a committee namely. "Fakir Samlty" (Beggars association) with Darbesh All as their chairman recently.

Darbesh All said- that there are about 500 beggars in the thana who are deprived of facilities like relief goods or other helps frqm the government. Darbesh All expressed that the prices of all types of essential commodities have gone up. Due to some unavoidable circumstances they will not accept five or ten paisa — coins any more. From now they will claim at least one Taka so that they can earn well. All also Informed that they have already met the local MP and were assured for assistance from his end. All told that if their demands are not fulfilled. they might go on ac-lion like strike or some similar actions. ,
