Two young men were murdered in two separate in-< idents and the body of a young woman was found in t he city yesterday,

Afasuddin. 28. was allegedly strangled at a hotel room in North South road in the old part of the city, police said. Afasuddin s body was lying on the floor. the neck tied by a piece of cloth, police added.

Afasuddin, son of Rahman Miah of Kotalipara. along with one Ismail, came to the hotel at around 5 pm Thursday. About half an hour later. Ismail left the hotel depositing the key of the room at the counter. Ismail could not be traced till last night, police said.

The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy. . Oacous sbqi dead otje Jahangir Alam Swapan. 25. when he along with some others tried to resist the gang from doing dacoity in a house at Paradogal under Demra thana in the early hours of today.

Swapan, along with others chased the dacoits when they were fleeing with the booty. The dacoits fired shots and Swapan died on the spot.

The body was sent to the Mitford Hospital for autopsy. None was arrested till last night.

Mirpur police recovered the body of an unidentified wpman aged about 28 from near the town protection embankment near the west side of Mirpur Zoo yesterday afternoon. Marks of injury were found In the body. The body was sent to the DMCH for autopsy.
