NEW DELHI. Aug 7: India said today it will not accept any international mediation over Kashmir, but wants the United States to pressure Pakistan to stop backing Muslim separatists, reports AFP.

"India firmly believes that there can be no role of any sort for any third party on the Kashmir issue, and no country is pressurising India for the same." Minister of State for External Affairs Salman Khurshid said.

Khurshid told the lower house of parliament here that India was committed "to resolve bilateral differences (with Pakistan), including the Kashmir issue, peacefully."
