At least nine people were killed and 90 injured in separate road accidents in different parts of the country yesterday.

Our Cox's Bazar Correspondent says, four persons were killed and 40 injured in two road accidents in the district. Three persons were killed and 35 injured when a bus fell into a road-side ditch near Mirinja hill on Lama Alikadam road. Nazir Ahmed. 70. Gulmeher Gegum, 68 and an unidentified 12-year boy

died on the spot. Of the injured, 15 were admitted to Dulahajara Christian Hospital, while three others were sent to Chokoria Hospital.

One Rupesh Dhar. 32. was killed and five others were injured when a jeep turned upside-down at Islamnagar on Arakan Road in Chokoria.

UNB adds from Gaibandha: A truck crashed into a night coach on the Diiaka-Dinajpur highway in the early hours of yesterday killing at least five people, including the drivers of both the vehicles.

Most of the more than 50 passengers of the Nilph-amari-bound coach of "SA Paribahan." running from Dhaka were injured in the violent collision, police said

Condition of 10 of the injured was stated to be critical. Ten of the injured were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, two to Bogra Mohammad Ali Hospital and five were admitted to GabindaganJ thana hospital.

Three others — Amjad Hossain. 40. of Kurigram district. Zohor All. 40. and Monzat, 18. of Nilphamari district died after admission Into hospital.

The seriously injured passengers were identified as Shamim and Kaseml of Gaibandha and Tapon. Osman. Shamsul. Shamim. Abdul Hye. Abdur Rahman. Gitanjoli Roy and Suruz of Rangpur district.
