Dimbleby has come under fire In the British media for revealing in his biography. "The Prince of Wales." that Charles has maintained a long-term extramarital affair with a married woman, and that he. went into his . marriage with Princess Diana not loving her.
Some commentators have suggested, that Charles give up his ambitions to the throne because of the revelations.
But the prince — who opened up his private papers to Dimbleby — is said by aides to stand by the biography as fair and accurate.
Dimbleby. speaking at a literary luncheon, said that his 620-page book goes beyond the gossip to argue for Charles as king.
"He says he is a very ordinary man in a very extraordinary role?' Dimbleby said. T think he is a very unusual and extraordinary njan in an exceptionally difficult role. "

TOKYO: A baffled Tokyo taxi driver received three million yen (30.900 dollars) for a ride of a few city blocks, police said on Wednesday, reports Reuter.
The passenger, a man aged about 40. paid the 1.600 ven (165Odollarsl fare on the meter, asked for a receipt and then placed three million yen in old 10.000-yen bills next to the driver as he got out of the taxi.
He muttered some words which the driver could not catch, and walked away while the driver was still -trying to gather the notes together.
The driver took the money to a Tokyo police station after the incident occurred on Sunday, a police spokesman said.
