CHITTAGONG. Oct 9: Communications Minister OU Ahmad today called' upon the physicians to render their best for the cause of distressed humanity, reports BSS.

He said. "Doctors are the best friends of the patients and they are expected to behave accordingly."

The Minister was Inaugurating the out-patient department of the Chittagong Eye Infirmary and Training Complex at Pahartali here.

The out-patient department built on a plot of railway-land with the financial assistance of the Andheri Hilfe. a philanthropic organisation of Germany, will now be able to render outdoor eye care facilities to 500 patients a day. The spacious out-door department is equipped with laser section, fact recording system and audiovisual system for imparting training on health and eye care.

Presided over by Professof MN Amin, chairman of the trustee board of the organisation. the inaugural function was addressed by Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation ABM Mohiuddln Chowdhury, managing trustee of the organisation Prof Robiul Hussain and president of Andheri Hilfe of Germany Rosi Goleman and executive of the organisation Johannep Roemer-Blum and Professor Fazlul Karim.
