Other dollar rates compared with late Thursday: 1.6635, German marks, down from 1.6668. 1.4145 Swiss francs, down from 1.4190. 5.7040 French francs, down from 5.7198. 1.8688 Dutch guilders, down from 1.8714. 1.594.50 Italian Ure. down from 1,598.58. 1.3815 Canadian dollars, up from 1.3806.
