In the backdrop of a looming threat of boycott of the Asiad by Bangladesh Hockey Players Welfare Association (BHPWA). only seven players reported to Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) in the national camp yesterday

The BHPWA came up with the threat after the authority expressed their reluctance to hold the hockey players’ transfer on May. The general secretary of BHF, Shamsul Bari who assured the players to pursue the club officials to hold this year’s players’ transfer before May 7 did little justice to his words later.

The recently formed executive committee of BHF in a meeting deferred the transfer date till August.

BHF will now Mid a meeting shortly to find a way out of the deepening crisis.
