At least five people were killed and 11 others injured In separate road accidents in and outside the city during the last two days.

A studept of UCEP (Underprivileged Children's Educational Programme) was knocked down by a speeding minibus when he was selling flowers near the Shisu Park at Shahbagh in the city Sunday morning.

Fatally injured 12-year-old Ranjit, a student of class three, died on way to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Police seized the minibus and arrested its driver.

In another road mishap. AJula. 10, was Killed when she was hit by a speeding minibus near Banani Chairmanbari at about 1 pm yesterday.

Abdul Jalil. 27. was knocked by. a speeding auto-rickshaw near Peerjangi Mazar at Kamlapur at about 12 noon. He later died at the DMCH. hospital sources said.

On Saturday morning, a carpenter was crushed under the wheels of a speeding bps at NawabganJ.

I Seriously injured Santosh, 22, was rushed to the DMCH

. where he died at night.

Another minor boy. Shar-muddin, 7, was killed when a speeding auto-rickshaw ran over him at Shahzadpur under Gulshan police station at about 2 pm Saturday.

Police sent all the bodies to the DMCH morgue for autopsy.

In another road mishap, at least 11 people were injured when a Dhaka-bound night coach collided with a speeding truck at Bolta in Narsinghdl at about 7 am yesterday.

The injured were admitted to the DMCH. They are Raju, 30. Harun. 28. Abul Hossain. 25. Mohammed Faijur Rashid, 23, Mohammed Abdul Halim, 60. Mosrin. 30. Shorn All. 35. Mohammed All. 30. Manzu. 25. and Mohammed Lal Miah. 30.
