By Staff Correspondent The BSRS Entrepreneur*' Forum, in a statement yesterday. protested the news Item published in newspapers re garding rehabilitation of sick Industries by th* Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha (BSRS)

The news Item, creeded by the official Bangladesh Sangbad Sangatha (BSS). said that the BSRS has rehabilitated 79 industrial units as per the dlrec tion of the Ministry of Finance.

The forum termed the Item 'confusing' and said the BSRS authorities had released such news as part of a conspiracy to destroy the Industrial units eligible for rehabilitation.

The statement. Issued by Alauddin Ahmed, convenor of the BSRS Entrepreneur*' Forum, said in fact, the entrepreneur* of the sick industries had rejected the proposal of rehabilitation from the BSRS because of some unacceptable conditionalities. The actual number of rehabilitated industries is not more then 20. he pointed out.

Alauddin Ahmed also criticised the BSRS authorities for not holding any meeting of the tripartite committee formed by the Ministry of Finance to accelerate the process of rehabilitation and alleged that the Sangstha. instead of following the directives of the ministiy. had involved itself in propagat Ing 'false' information regarding rehabilitation.
