Bangladesh will, however, take part in the second SAARC football tournament to be held In November in the Shri Lankan capital Colombo.

Meanwhile, the proposed Iiarticipation of two local eague giants — Mohammedan Sporting Club and Abahanl Krtra Chakra — in a tournament in Calcutta has hit some sort of a snag.

Journalists Union of Calcutta, wore keen on having both the popular clubs from Dhaka but although Mohammedans expressed their Intention to take part in the meet, their arch rivals Abahanl. of late, have been showing reluctance.
