Md Abdul Halim and Fazlul Haq have been elected as the new president and general secretary respectively of the Dhaka WASA Diploma Engineers' Association (DEAW).

The Halim-Fazlul panel also bagged 18 of the total 21 posts in the polls held on Thursday. Engineer Md Mesbauddin acted as the Election Commissioner of the polls, according to DEAW press release.

Other office-bearers are Senior Vice-President M Rafiqul Islam, Vice-President- Shahja-han Reza. Joint Secretary Zulfikar All. Finance Secretary Amal Chandra Pramanik. organising secretary-Abdul Mannan, publicity, secretary-Selim Mia, training and research secretary-All Imam, office secretary-Shahjalal. social welfare secretary-Abdur Razzak. besides six members were also elected.
