BARGUNA. Dec 11 : Illegal sale of lucky coupon and lottery tickets has been going on openly in almost all the villages of district during last few months, local people said, reports UNB.

A group of people engaged in this business are exploiting the innocent villagers and poor people, it is alleged.

It is learnt that more than 50 groups of coupon sellers are active in different villages of Amtall. Bamna. Patharghata. Betagi and sadar thanas. .

Some dishonest people under the patronlsatlon of corrupt union council members and local influentials, have been dealing with thia lucky coupon business alluring the innocent people, particularly the youths of attractive prizes including colour television. V C P Set, cassette players etc.

Students are the main customers who are collecting money from their guardians under compelling situations to buy these lucky coupons and lottery .tickets, the sources said.
