NEW DELHI. Nov 10: Indian textile exports increased 19 percent in dollar terms in the first five months (April-August) of the current financial year, reports Xinhua.

Their value is placed al 2,465.2 million US dollar compared with 2,069.9 million US dollar in the same period last year.

According to the statistics released by Indian ministry of textiles yesterday, except the decline in the exports of silk products and woollens, exports of other textiles have gone up by 11 percent to 30 per cent.

Garment exports have accounted for more than 50 per cent of the total exports with their value placed at 1,345.5 million US dollar in April-August. 1993.
