Police arrested a total of 2340 persons on different cha rges from various parts of the city in a month long special drive a DMP press release said here Tuesday, reports BSS

Of the arrested persons. 1216 were arrested on charges of murdering, dacoity. robbery and cases involving arms and terrorism, and 1916 others on charges of violation of DMP or dinances and eight absconding convicted criminals
