The General's death, attributed officially to a heart at tack, became a political Issue when Nuzhat Nawaz, the General s widow, blamed members of former premier Nawaz Sharifs government for her husband a death.

Nuzhat Nawaz renewed the charge last month after a Judicial commission, appointed by •Nawaz Sharif, found the General died of a heart attack.
