The Minister later distributed prizes among the winner* of huernatlonal Letter Writing Competition. SAARC letter writing competition and 2Q, best employees of last year of postal department.

Special cancellers were used at the GPOs through the country on the occasion

Radio Bangladesh and Bangladesh Television put up special programmes to mark the day.
