KHULNA. Aug 7: Foreign Minister ASM Mostafizur Rahman said yesterday that the government had been making all-out efforts to eradicate poverty from the country, reports BSS.

Addressing the biennial conference of the Barguna district BNP at Barguna, the Foreign Minister said that the prime need of the hour was to eradicate poverty and that the government had definitely chosen appropriate measures to remove poverty.

He called upon the leaders and workers of the party to spread the principles and policies of the government among the commonman. He asked them to encourage people to plant more trees, cultivate more fish and raise poultry and dairy farms to attain self-sufficiency and Improve the economic condition.

The conference was presided over by Barguna district BNP convener Akhtaruzzaman Alamglr.
