FARIDPUR, July 6 Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB), Faridpur division has implemented five schemes at a cost of Taka 2.50 crore in the financial year 1992-93, reports BSS.

' According to an official source, the schemes included construction of town protection embankment, flood protection embankment, construction of water structures Including drainage and irrigation canals.

This scheme would help irrigate 1220 hectares of land.

Another scheme is Boro Manikdl FC DI was executed at a cost of 7,'aka 31.60 lakh. This scheme would help irrigate 2,592 F.ectares of land. The other two schemes included mainte nance of two beels for irrigation facilities.
