The second installation ceremony of the Dhaka Burt ganga Inner Wheel Club was held In the city yesterday.

The ceremony was attended, among others, by former Provost of Rokeya Hall of the Dhaka University Akhtar ' Imam as chief guest. International Inner Wheel Representative Dilruba Ahmed and Chairman of Insier Wheel district 328 Munira Khan as special guests.

Through a grand ceremony a 14 member executive committee for 1993-94 was installed on the occasion.

The committee members arc: Hosne Ara Khan as president, Gule Afruz Mahbub immediate past president, Ra sheda Chowdhury and Nilufar Mahmud as vice presidents, Chha6i Alam as secretary, Rose Rahman as treasurer, Ruzina Afzal as club correspondent. Nursultan Hirzi as 1 S O and Anita Chowdhury, Hosne Ara Siddiqui. Nurjahan Atik, Aleya Amin, Rawshan Ara Alam and Dr Halida Khandker as directors.

The Dhaka Buriganga Inner Wheel Club was founded on May 30. 1992. It has carried • out a number of social welfare activities and has presently taken initiatives to set up a lady senior citizens centre In the country to serve the old women.

Chief guest Akhtar Imam in her speech hailed the club for carrying out social welfare activities and expressed the hope that the new executive committee would successfully achieve the goals of the club.
