The double leg play-off chess tournament Involving three players — Grand Master (GM) Nlaz Murshed from Bangladesh, GM Dlbyendu Bar ooah from India and his compatriot International Master (IM) Koshy— will now begin from Monday, June 7, at the chess room of the National Sports Council.

Originally scheduled to start last Friday, the tournament has been reportedly delayed by the failure of the two Indians — Dlbyendu Barooah and Varu gesc Koshy— to arrive on time. The seven day meet, if gets underway on June 7, will continue upto 14 of this month.

Earlier, the three players jointly finished on top of the points table having earned eight points from eleven round. in the World Championship of chess for Zone Eleven, held In the Iranian city Isfahan. Only one player of the trio will advance to the next round expected to be held in Switzerland some time later this year.
