BANGKOK, June 5: Prospects for Thailand's shrimp export appear brighter 1n the second quarter this year because worldwide • shrimp production has declined and consumption has increased, reports Xinhua.

A report from the That Foreign Trade Department said today that Japan and the United States have problems of delayed deliveries from other trading partners, while Thailand, which has large market shares In the two countries, has enough products to meet their demand.

Market prices in Japan and the United States, which remained flat during the first quarter of the year, have tended to climb in the second quarter.
