KHULNA, June S: The twelfth death anniversary of Saheed President Zlaur Rahman was observed in different places under greater Khulna district with due solemnity, reports BSS.

A day-long programme was organised by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party Satkhira district branch. The programmes included Quran Khawnl, milad mahfll and feeding the destitutes.

A discussion was held at the party office on the life of the late President who was the founder of BNP. Presided over by Advocate Shamsul Huq, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Kamrul Islam Farooq. Secretary of district BNP. Shaikh Nizam Uddin. President of Satkhira city BNP, Shamsuzzoha Bablu and Tozammel Hossain, leaders of Chhatradal and Mlthu and Hassan of Jubadaj.

A procession also was brought out in the town.

The programmes Included discussion, milad mahfll Quran Khanl and special prayers.

The discussion meeting was held at the Bagerhat district BNP office with Advocate Abdul Baton In the chair.

Speakers lauded the contribution of the late President Zia for his untiring efforts and zeal for bringing about a positive change in the socio political an economic Infrastructure of the country.

Another report says Jessore district BNP and its front organisations also observed the day.

A voluntary blood donation programme was organised under the auspices of Jessore Zia Parishad at the Jessore Sadar Hospital.
