Janata bank has taken up a scheme for extending credit to the landless poor and unemployed youths of small means, reports BSS.

Under the scheme, credit is being provided on easy terms for various income generating farm and off farm activities like beef and goat fattening, dairy and poultry farm, small mechanics, bakery, steel furniture, various shops, blacksmith’s shop, dried fish, nursery. sewing machine, different handicrafts, carts, rickshawvan, radlo-TV repair and electronics shops, library and book binding, apiculture, sericulture etc.

As security, hypothectlon of cattle, goats, poultry birds and goods in business are accepted, besides personal guarantee of teachers of colleges, schools and madarashas, imams of mosques, retired employees of government and semi-government offices, village physicians, post master and respectable persons of the locality. Loans under the scheme are available through all the branches of the bank irrespective of rural and urban area
