The visiting special envoy of President Kim 11 Sung of Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Li Jong Ok. called on Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at her office in Dhaka yesterday morning, reports BSS.

During the meeting LI. who Is the Vice President of DPRK, conveyed an invitation of President Kim 11 Sung to Begum Zia to visit their country. He said, the purpose of his visit to Bangladesh is mainly to convey the Invitation and greetings from the President.

Li said "We are eagerly looking forward to further strengthening the bilateral relations with Bangladesh." In this coin text he said, tbs policy of the DPRK government is to cooperate with the Third World countries.

He recalled the role of late President Ziaur Rahman In promoting the bilateral rela--tions between the two countries. He said DPRK will cooperate with Bangladesh in the exploitation of Madhyapara Hard Rock Project.

Li expressed solidarity on behalf of his government and people in the struggle of Bangladesh in consolidating democracy under the leadership of Begum Zia. He said, we are happy to see the holding of the SAARC summit. He said, we are hopeful that SAARC will make significant contribution in the development of the region.

Li informed Begum Zia about the process of reunification of Korea.

Welcoming the visiting special envoy of the DPRK President, Begum Zia recalled the traditional relationship between the two countries. She was thankful to the DPRK President for the Invitation. She expressed the hope that her visit to DPRK would take place at a mutually convenient time,
