A Honduran flag carrier ordered to be detained by the High Court Division Admiralty Jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, fled from the outeranchorage of Chittagong Port late last year.

This was disclosed by State Minister for Shipping Harun Al-Rashid In reply to a question at the Jatiya Sangsad • yesterday.

The ship. "M V Arttmis-r, was ordered to be detained September 16 by the High Court Division Admiralty Jurisdiction. Dhaka on the basis of a case filed In the Supreme Court by TME Marine Enterprise of Cyprus. Rupsha traders also field a money suit with the Chittagong Second Sub-Judge Court, the State Minister noted.

"According to the order of the Supreme Court the Chittagong Port Authority did not provide permfssion/no objection to the ship to leave the port, but on November 12 the ship fled from the outer-anchorage.

In his written reply, the Minister told the House that the Port Authority Informed the Supreme Court about the matter through Its lawyer In due time and. that on behalf of the port authority, steps had been taken to ascertain the present location of the ship.

The case has remained under trial with the High Court Division Admiralty Jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, he added.
