Law Students Federation

Students of the Central Law College Wednesday evening brought out a procession in the city to protest the closure of the college for an indefinite period.

The procession which paraded the city thoroughfares ended in front of the Jatiya Press Club.

At a brief rally there, the student ‘leaders demanded immediate reopening of the college.

Village Doctors’ Assoc

The 6th founding anniversary and general meeting of the Village Doctors' Association was held Sunday at the National Book Centre auditorium.

Presided over by Dr Nazi muddin Ahmed, the meeting was also addressed by Dr Mostafa Kamal. Dr Mahbub Alam. Dr Shahjahan Shaiu. Dr Delwar Hossain Mallik. Dr Enayet Uddin. Dr Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan. Dr Abdus Sobhan. Dr Abul Fazal and Dr Nazrul Islam.

Bangladesh-Ukraine Solidarity Assoc

A 51-member Bangladesh-Ukraine Solidarity Association was formed at a meeting Wednesday.

Naslruddin Ahmed and Saiful Islam Talukdar were elected the president and general secretary respectively of the Association.

The newly formed body called upon the Bangladesh government to recognise Ukraine as an Independent state.

Onnesha International School Tuesday organised the annual discussion meeting and cultural soiree at the Shilpakala Academy auditorium.

Dr Mazharui Huq of Dhaka University attended the function as chief guest while chairperson of the school Naoshaba Khatun presided.

Election to the Executive Committee of the Feni Association was held recently in the city.

Air Vice Marshal A G Mahmud (rtd) and Mostafa Amin were elected the president and general secretary respectively of the Association.

CAB

Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Wednesday called for improving the standard of the educational inputs, and restoring the congenial academic atmosphere In the educational Institutions.

A meeting of the association in the city expressed grave concern over the deteriorating standard of the education and price hike.

Pen-pals club

Speakers at a discussion on the World Human Rights Day Tuesday stressed the need for restoration of Justice based on global peace and human rights.

Organised by the International Pen-Pals Club, the discussion meeting was addressed by Advocate Mohammad Illas. Mohammad Musa, Md Sharif and Javed Chowdhury.

President of the club Mahbub Uddin Chowdhury was in the chair.

Jatiya Hindu Parishad

A grand meeting of the Chittagong unit of Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Parishad was held Tuesday in the port city.

Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Mir Muhammad Naslruddin attended the function as the chief guest.
