MUNICH, Oct 9 : Germany defeated a World team 3-1 last night in the third edition of a charity soccer gala, which raised an estimated 2.1 million dollars for the United Nations International Children's Fund (UltlCEF), reports agencies.

The first matches, organized by the international soccer federation (FIFA) had taken place in New York (1982) and Pasadena (1986).
