BHOLA, Sept 8: Speaker of the Jatfya Sangsad Abdur Rahman Biswas said that the rule of law would be established in the country if we could give democracy an Institutional shape, reports BSS.

Addressing a reception arranged in his honour by Bhola District Bar Association at Its auditorium Mr. Biswas said, all citizens have equal and unfettered right in the eye of law. But he regretted that the previous autocratic government had snatched away this Inherent right of the people.

He added that the role and importance of the lawyers in social life would be correctly evaluated if the rule of law

could be established in the country.

He lauded the role of lawyers in various crucial Junctures of the nation.

Earlier, the Speaker addressed a discussion on "Referendum" organised by Borha-nuddin Upazila Administration at the upazila auditorium.

Mr Biswas also addressed the district level officials at Bhola circuit house. He directed the local administration to take drastic measures to maintain law and order.

He directed the officials to work with devotion to implement various post-cyclone measures taken by the government.
