JHEN1DAH, August 7 : Two activists of the Biplobl Communist Party were found dead in a paddy field In the district on Sunday night, reports UNB.

The victims Suruj All, (30) of village Fulbarl and Abu Bakar (45), of village Dora In Kotchandpur upazlla said to be the activists of the party (Haque group) were found slaughtered In the paddy field.

Local people informed the police who later recovered the bodies and sent them to Jhenidah morgue for autopsy.

A case has been lodged with Kotchandpur police in this connection.

Another report from Kush-tla says that a minor girl drowned in a pond at village Baradi, two miles off from here on Sunday.

The victim Shapla (3), daughter of a labourer was rescued by a person who was also bathing in the same pond and sent her to the Kushita General Hospital where the attending physicians declared her dead.
