The mosquitoes are multiplying so fast that no one is left safe even In day time. | The poor people are the worst sufferers who have no means to purchase mosquito nets or coils. As a result, they are passing sleepless nights. Work in schools, colleges, madrashas, hospitals and other business centres are being hampered severely. The menace has altogether paralysed the civic life.

Ponds full of water hy acinth, kutcha drains and stagnant polluted water around the tubewells, bushes and roadside ditches are the ideal centres for mosquito breeding. Town dwellers urged the pourashava authorities to take necessary steps to combat the menace.
