Bangladesh Janata Dal de manded immediate withdrawal of Value Added Tax (VAT) crit icising that this system has al ready affected the industries of the country.

Janata Dal on Saturday ended its national executive committee meeting in whii h representatives from 31 districts had participated, a press release said.

In a resolution adopted at the meeting the Dal urged the government to bring back con genial academic atmosphere in the educational institutions The meeting stressed the need for uniting all political organisations and their student bodies to resist the terrorist activities on the campuses.
