Two researchers of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) were conferred Ph.D degree. Dr Shahjahan, Vice Chancellor of BUET at his office in an informal occasion gave certificate to -them on Tuesday.

Dr Aminul Haq, Associate Professor. Electrical and Electronic Department of the university was conferred Ph.D degree on "a methodology for analysing electrical energy options for isolated areas” under the supervision of Prof. M. Kamrul Ahsan and Prof Dr A M Jahrul Haq while Dr Abdul Jalil was conferred Ph D degree on "design and development of a whole body radio activity monitor for radiation protection and metabolic studies" under the supervision of Prof Gia-suddin Ahmed and Dr M Abdur Rab Mollah.

The certificate-giving ceremony was attended by the deans of various faculties, head of the departments and the officials of the university
