Our DU Correspondent adds : Dhaka University Teachers' Association has decided to donate two-day's salaries of the teachers of the university In aid to the cyclone-battered people.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the association held Saturday at the University Club building with Prof. Anwarullah Chowdhury. President of the association in chair
The meeting decided to open a relief centre at the club building immediately.
NFTA
The National Federation of Teacher Associations (NFTA) has decided Friday to donate the one-day's salary of its members serving from primary schools to colleges in the country.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the association held at the Biological Science building of Dhaka University with Prof Yeazuddln Ahmed. President of NFTA in the chair.
The meeting urged the Ministry of Education to take steps in realising the money.

Our JU Correspondent says : Teachers of Jahangirnagar University have decided to donate their one-day's salary for the cyclone effected victims.
Disclosing this. the President of Jahangirnagar University Teachers Association Prof. Enamul Haq and the General Secretary of the association Dr. Alauddln Ahmed said despite all economical limitation the members of the association feel the necessity to come forward and help the distressed people.
