The fifth Jattya Sangsad (parliament) goes into its inaugural session tomorrow (Friday) heralding a new era of democracy, formed through a free and fair election on February 27 after nine years of ariti-autocracy movement, the parliament represents all shades of political opinion.

The inaugural session will be a brief one. but it is expected to indicate how politics will be shaped in the country in the coming years. Bangladesh Nationalist Par ties has 164 seats in the 5th Parliament. It is followed by Awami League with 87 seats and Jattya Party with 31 seats Jamaat. Communist party and BKSAL have 20. 5 and 4 scats. By election in 10 seats are due to be held soon.
