Title-aspirants Azad Boys Club and Orient Sporting Club won their respective matches in the Rank Xerox Second Di vision cricket league match yesterday al the Dhanmondi Cricket Sladulm

Azad Boys Club once a force lo be reckoned with In the Dhaka crickci league, now playing in Ihc Second Division beat Defence Officers Housing Society (DOHS) by 62 runs at the western slrip of the Dhanmondi Stadium.

Azad Boys put into bat scored 176 for the loss of nine wickets in their stipulated 35 overs.

Iqbal Azim topscored for Azad wilh a cracking 62 runs pf 45 balls. His knock was studded wilh nine well timed boundaries and a loitering six. Khokon 35 and Hirok with 20 runs were the other two notable Azad batsmen.

In the other match at the

eastern strip Orient S.C. overcame the fighting Eaglets S.C. sale by 14 runs.

IXciding to bat first Orient

S.C.were bowled out for 160

runs in 34.4 overs.

Masood 41. Tuhln 24, Selim 19 and Tutul with 18 runs were the leading Orient batsmen.

Parvez was the most successful Eaglets bowler with four wickets for 25 runs.

In reply. Eaglets despite showing early promise fizzled out in the end scoring 148 for six wickets tn 35 overs.

Maksud 41 and Alam 40 scored 81 runs for the first wicket partnership in 15.5 overs. But once they were dismissed, only Sobel with 30 runs could show any domination over Ihc Orient bowlers

Shahin and Mamoon bugged two wickets each for 18 and 27 runs respectively.
